Hi there. My name’s Mike. My in-game handle is Carnac, which I settled on after having gone through a phase of naming myself after 70s TV personalities. I was John Astin, Ted Knight, and for a while, Abe Vigoda. It still strikes me as funny to think of people getting their base raided by Fish from Barney Miller. I’ve been playing Star Trek Fleet Command since early December 2018, which strangely enough still has a few people in my alliance calling me a “newbie.”
I’ve raided bases for over 6 billion in resources, and become one of the leading players on my server, despite not spending a whole lot of money.
I’m a husband, a dad to the two best kids in the world, a Rotary President, a small business owner, a Little League baseball coach. I’m a seasonal allergy sufferer and an avid hiker.
I started this blog for a few reasons. It’s a fun topic to write about, and it’s really helped cure me of my previous writer’s block. I like helping people in the game the way others have helped me. And I saw a space that wasn’t being filled. We’ve got some great people doing videos, but not a lot of people writing about Star Trek Fleet Command.
I’ll be expanding this blog over the next few weeks, feel free to reach out to me if there’s something you’d like to see me write about.
