Ferengi Monday
The Rules of Acquisition events, or informally Ferengi Monday were introduced last September, when the Latinum systems were introduced to the game, along with the Ferengi ship, the D’Vor.
It’s got good rewards, and I wind up with a ridiculous amount of raw Latinum. You’re rewarded for mining resources, materials, and especially Latinum, and unlike most other events, you’re rewarded for stealing it.
Ferengi Monday – Latinum Rush
You’ll get two points for mining each unit of G2 materials (gas, crystal or ore,) 10 points for each unit of G3, and 20 points for each unit of G4. You’ll get 5 points for Dilithium mining, 3 points for Tritanium, and 1 point for Parsteel.
It’s 25 points for each unit of raw Latinum mined, and 30 points for each unit of Latinum stolen.
The Rewards for completing this event vary by level, but as an example, at level 36, I get Parsteel, Parsteel tokens, some Tritanium, Common Ore, Uncommon Ore, and Rare Ore.
Latinum Rush Solo Leaderboard
The Solo Leaderboard is scored the same way at the Latinum Rush solo event is – with one exception. While you gain 30 points for stealing Latinum from other players, you lose Latinum for having Latinum stolen from you.
Keep in mind that there are a number of different leaderboards on your server, and they’re sectioned off by ops levels.
This event pays out D’Vor parts to the top three finishers in each tier and also pays out uncommon ore, dilithium, and Parsteel tokens.
Quick aside. Ira Steven Behr’s book on the Ferengi is hilarious.
Latinum Rush: Alliance Leaderboard
The Alliance event is purely a mining event. You don’t gain or lose points for stealing Raw Latinum. It pays out Alliance Credits, Ultra Recruit Tokens, Uncommon Ore, and Crystal, depending on your ops level, and where your alliance finishes. The top 50 alliances on each server will receive a reward of some kind.
In order to help you plan out your strategy for these events, I’ve created a handy-dandy calculator to help you out.
