Load up your Pike, Moreau, and Chen crew (or whatever your best hostile crew is) on to your best hostile killing ships, and prepare to head out for the 500-ship marathon that is Military Supremacy! Get those orange slices ready, drink plenty of fluids, and keep those electrolytes up. Maybe have a pasta dinner tonight, and have that emergency blanket ready for when you cross the finish line. And maybe take a few other precautions.
So it’s a marathon. Or maybe it’s a little more Cool Hand Luke?

How You Get the Military Supremacy! Event
Not all players will have this event show up for them. The best guess that I’ve seen is that players who could build the next level up faction ship but haven’t yet built it will get this event. This could be completely wrong, and Scopely to the best of my knowledge hasn’t confirmed this. But its the best explanation I’ve seen.
This is one event in which it pays to be a dual or triple-faction player. If I was just a Romulan player, I wouldn’t get this event because I have my Augur. And if I was dual-faction, I wouldn’t get it once I built my Enterprise. But since I’m probably a long, long way from having three Epic faction ships, I will likely get this event every time it comes around.
How You Earn Points
You have to destroy a certain level of ships (or higher.) It’s usually 500 ships, at two points a ship, to earn the 1,000 points needed to complete the event.
The first few times I got this event, I had to kill level 38 ships. Once I reached level 35, it moved up to level 40 ships. The challenge of this is that there aren’t nearly as many ships to choose from. And more people trying to hit those ships.
You can also earn the full 1000 points for the event by building one of the qualifying ships, or 200 points for tiering up one of those ships. For me, at the moment, those ships are Augur, Enterprise, and D4.
The Rewards
They’re pretty good, actually. Lots of uncommon gas and crystal, some rare gas and crystal, Parsteel and Tritanium tokens, and speed-ups.
Here are the rewards that I’m getting at level 36. Yours may vary depending on your level.
Military Supremacy! Makes for Some Strange Partnerships
The toughest part of this event isn’t being able to destroy the ships in question, it’s in finding enough ships to hit. If you’re hitting 38s, for example, you’re going to run out of them sooner or later. The same if you’re going for level 40s. What you need is someone else in that same system hitting the ships that don’t do you any good. If you can
I’ve seen wars be put on hold because of this event. Players from opposing alliances will start getting along. Some of the first discussions I’ve had with players have been because of this event.
This is sort of similar to the way Marathon runners draft off each other. It’s a competition, but you need to work together with other players to win.
Good luck.
