Happy Swarm Sunday to you. It’s time to fire up those Franklins, and head towards swarm space. It’s made up of two events, Threat from Beyond, and Threat from Beyond – Heroic.

The event has its roots in the Threat From Beyond arc from July of 2019. Occasionally, you’ll still see the Alliance Swarm Biomineral Collection event come back. You get those from your daily swarm goals.
Threat From Beyond
This event is straightforward. Kill 75 swarm of any level at all. The rewards are tritanium, uncommon gas, and ore for the first three levels. Level four gives you Khan and Mara, and Shards, tritanium, and crystal. As with most other events, the amounts and grades of each will vary by your ops level.
Threat From Beyond – Heroic
This one’s a little more complicated. You’ll have two levels of swarm ships to go after. The lower level will be 2 points per ship destroyed, and the higher level will be 10 points per ship destroyed.
An Extra Swarm Sunday Bonus
There’s can get an extra reward for finishing Swarm Sunday. But it can involve being a little patient. You’ll need to wait for one of the daily Officer Recruit Events. There are several chances for one of these to come up in the 24 hours of the Swarm Sunday event.
So here’s the fun part – The Khan and Mara shards you get from completing Swarm Sunday will count towards your Daily Officer Recruit Events. So you wait until the recruiting event comes up, then complete the Swarm Sunday events, and depending on the reward levels, you can complete the recruiting event without spending any recruiting tokens at all.
So today, I completed both events and got a nice secondary reward of a few uncommon crystals and some ship XP for my troubles.
