Stella Scrapping for Scoundrels

Now that the Stella event is over, and you’re no longer racing for event points, how often should you be scrapping your Stella?

And now that you’re a Scoundrel, what’s changed?

(Of course, this being my page, I can’t avoid the old pop-culture reference to Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.)

So the event strategy of building up to level 10 (tier 2) and scrapping didn’t make as much sense anymore, especially not when you see the enormous increase at tier 5 in the Stella Particles you get for scrapping. Nearly 10 times as many Stella particles.

And when you combine this with the Stella’s ability to destroy high-level hostiles, it starts to make sense of you to hold off a little bit on scrapping your Stella.

Now many players have advanced (as I have) to “Scoundrel” reputation. At this level, Rare Uranium becomes available. So advancing your Stella above tier 4 is now possible.

It makes no sense to scrap at Tier 4. The amount of uncommon uranium at that level is four times what it takes to scrap at tier 3, and you’re only getting 33% more Stella particles. So when should your next Stella scrapping be? At level 15 (tier 3), or level 25 (tier 5)?

Option 1 – Scrap At Level 15

So you could decide to build and scrap your Stella at Tier 3 every other day. You will wind up getting a little extra uncommon uranium. So if you’re starting from zero, and refining 6,675 uncommon uranium a day, you should be able to scrap your Stella six times in 10 days.

This will net you 1,800 Stella Particles, in 10 days.

Option 2 – Scrap At Level 25

This is a little bit simpler. Starting from scratch, it will take you a little over 13 days to get the 34,669 uncommon uranium to reach Tier 5. You’ll be getting 1,785 Rare uranium every three days, so by day 13, you’ll have 8,925.

This will net you 4,300 Stella Particles in 13 days. So if you can, this is a better option.

Of course, most of you will have enough uncommon uranium to scrap much earlier, but I hope this will help you going forward. Also, once you’ve advanced to Accomplice, all of this will change again.
