The Basics

Cadet Kirk is the leader of the Another Time Crew. He’s a common command officer.

This will be the crew you’ll use primarily for attacking mission bosses in the early stages of Star Trek Fleet Command. However, once you get epic Kirk, you won’t really have a use for Cadet Kirk anymore.

Captain’s Maneuver

Motivational – Increases the Attack, Defense, and Health of all Officers on the Bridge by 20%.

Pairing him as captain with Cadet McCoy, who will increase Increases the effectiveness of the Captain Maneuver, in addition to the synergy bonus will be very effective. Adding Cadet Uhura to the mix will give you max synergy, and increase the shield health of your ship.

You can also throw in Instructor Spock to increase the ship’s Increases the Shield Deflection, Armor, and Dodge. You’ll sacrifice a little synergy – but you should make up for it in defense. This will help your ship survive longer in battle, and get more chances to attack.

Officer Ability

Tactician – Increases the Weapon Damage of the ship by (5% 8% 12% 15% 20%).

Again, this will apply against all enemies, so you can use it against hostile, players, or mission bosses.

Chris Pine Trivia

For Cadet Kirk, we’ll give trivia for Chris Pine. We’ll cover William Shatner in the epic Kirk writeup.

Chris Pine’s first acting role was in a 2003 episode of ER; the same year, he also appeared in episodes of The Guardian and CSI: Miami. In 2004, he appeared in  The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. In 2005, Pine appeared in an episode of the series Six Feet Under.

He turned down a role in a film adaptation of White Jazz, to accept the part of James T. Kirk.

In 2011, Pine sat down with the actor who originated the role of Captain Kirk more than forty years earlier, William Shatner, for the feature-length documentary The Captains, which Shatner wrote and directed. The film sees Shatner interview Pine about his career and how it felt to take the role of Kirk for the 2009 movie.

Pine co-starred with Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde, and Michelle Pfeiffer in the family drama People Like Us, which was filmed in early 2011 and released in June 2012.

In 2009, Pine entered talks to play CIA analyst Jack Ryan in a reboot of Tom Clancy‘s novels.  He starred in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, which was released in 2014.
